Map and Directions to Temple Israel of Long Beach 

 

 

From Northern NJ: Take G.W. Bridge across Manhattan via Cross Bronx Expressway to exit 10, towards Whitestone Bridge.  Get over the Whitestone Bridge, continue on into Van Wyck Expressway to exit 1E where left lanes merge into Nassau Expressway

 (Rt 878). Bypass JFK Expressway exit, and Nassau Expressway becomes Rockaway Blvd. and then becomes Rockaway Turnpike. Stay on Rockaway Turnpike for about 2 miles and then follow signs to turn right to Nassau Expressway (878) that leads toward  Atlantic Beach Bridge. After the bridge, the 2 left lanes turn into Park St. Follow Park St. through Atlantic Beach village into Long Beach. The same Park Street is now called West Beech St. Proceed to New York Ave and turn left onto New York Ave. After 3 short blocks turn right onto West Park Ave.  Make right turn onto W. Park Ave. and go for about 1.5 miles to Riverside Blvd. (it is 1 block after West Park Ave turns into East Park Ave). The synagogue is at the corner of E. Park Ave. and Riverside Blvd. on your right. (Turn right onto Riverside Blvd. for more parking space in front of the synagogue at the Riverside Blvd. entrance).

 

From  NJ (via Staten Island): Use Staten Island bridges and highways (440 North or 278 East) to get to the majestic Verrazano Narrows Bridge and take it across the Hudson river  over to Brooklyn.  At the end of the bridge stay on your left to take exit to Belt Parkway East (towards JFK airport). Continue on Belt Parkway to exit # 19 to Nassau Expressway (878). Use Nassau Expressway to get to Rockaway Blvd. Then, follow the directions above.

 From Northern or Eastern Long Island: Get to Meadowbrook Parkway (Via Northern or Southern State Parkways). Take Meadowbrook south to the last exit (Exit 10) onto Loop Parkway that comes to Long Beach Island. Where the Loop Parkway ends, take right turn onto Lido Blvd. After about 2,5 -3 miles, the Lido Blvd. becomes E. Park Ave. In a short while watch for a major intersection (with Long Beach Blvd.) There is a Mobil Gas Station there and a movie theater on your right. Be ready to make a left turn at the next intersection after this one.  Turn LEFT onto Riverside Blvd. The synagogue’s entrance is on your right (in the middle of the small block between Park Ave. and the next street (Walnut St.)
